5. Retention periods
We retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Enquiries and requests for quotations that lead to a business relationship are subsequently handled within the framework of that relationship. All other enquiries are retained for two years following the last contact, in order to respond to new enquiries and to safeguard any rights.
- Data relating to contracts, invoicing and legal obligations are retained for the applicable statutory periods, namely the retention period for tax and accounting documents – currently 10 years – and for the duration of warranty periods and limitation periods for legal rights.
Once the applicable time limits have expired, the data is deleted or anonymised.

For the purposes set out above, personal data may be disclosed to: providers of technology, hosting and information systems maintenance services; providers of administrative, accounting and invoicing services; technical partners and carriers, where necessary for the implementation of a project or the delivery of equipment; and public, judicial, police or regulatory authorities, where disclosure is required by law.
Service providers who process data on behalf of Tecsisel act as sub-contractors, bound by contract and obliged to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.
Where a service provider is located outside the European Economic Area, data is transferred subject to the appropriate safeguards provided for in the GDPR, namely adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Data security
Tecsisel implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access, taking into account the nature of the data and the risks involved in its processing. Tecsisel has a Quality Management System certified to the ISO 9001 standard, which governs its internal procedures.
8. Rights of data subjects
In accordance with the GDPR and Law No. 58/2019, the data subject may, at any time and free of charge, exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent, as well as the right to object to decisions based solely on automated processing. To do so, simply send a written request to [email protected] or to the address given in point 2.
We will respond within one month of receiving the request; this period may be extended by up to two months in the case of complex requests, in which case we will inform the data subject. To ensure that data is shared only with the data subject, we may ask for proof of identity.
The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.
